What you can do when JANET returns to the charts

After an action packed year for JANET fans from the sell out Number Ones tour, to the release of True You, there was no denying it was a great time to be a JANET fan, and we loved every moment of it.


It's suspected that we may get a new studio album from JANET for the first time since her number one album Discipline back in 2008, and we're telling you, not only what we plan to do, but what the everyday fan like you and I can do to help ensure that JANET is where she belongs in her new era.


1. Promote your artist!!


Yes we're talking to the fans aswell as the record label, take to twitter, facebook, create a blog, or anything creative you can think of, make sure everyone knows what JANET has in store for us. The more times the better, make sure the anticipation builds for the queens return to the charts like never before. On twitter if the JANET fans plan to try make a hashtag trending worldwide we will keep you informed.


2. Buy everything!!


We must ensure JANET gets the sales she deserves, buy the album on the week of release, if you can buy the album more than once please do!! However make sure the album is bought in different transactions as bulk buying is not counted by most charts bodies. Buying the singles to contribute to the singles charting is important too, on iTunes, amazon etc. The single can be bought as many times as you like to our knowledge.


3. Watch the videos!!


JANET hasn't really used her VEVO account to promote her new singles, but in the current climax where most artists release their videos either on VEVO or their official youtube channel. So make sure you watch the video as many times as possible, just keep it open in another tab all the time if you like, as long as its playing it doesn't matter! Feel free to post this on your facebook and twitter too!


4. Tune in to all things JANET!!


Make sure you tune in to all the interviews performances and appearances JANET makes and support all things to do with JANET on the small screen. If you get the opportunity to be present at one of these appearances - jump at it, you won't be disappointed even if its just seeing an interview JANET is even more beautiful up close than she is in the pictures. We will be sure to put all of JANET's appearances on the blog to keep the readers informed.


5. Radio play!!


When the single is dropped, if you check this very blog we will post a list worldwide for literally hundreds of radio stations which you can help request the single. We all know radio hasn't been kind with JANET since the superbowl incident, but we're determined to get JANET's airplay up for this era, join us by bombarding the radio stations with requests for the Queen when the time comes, it may not have an effect, but it's really worth the try for JANET!!


If all JANET fans unite and partake in all the factors listed above the next era for JANET will most certainly be a success, as JANET recently said in her NurtiSystem ad; when the time comes - 'GET ON IT'!

Glee Cover Janet (and Michael) again - makes me wanna scream (in pain)

After their rendition of the iconic JANET classic control (see video below if you missed it), hit tv show Glee have decided to tackle one of JANET's best song in terms of vocals, and Michaels too.


Scream was a huge hit for the 2 on their first and only duet and it made a statement that they were not going to take the media bashing the pair, Michael more so, but Scream projected JANET as the little sister who has her brothers back, something she continued to have till the day he tragically passed.


Glee's version of the song is interesting to say the least. While praise must be given to even take on the song, you come to realize just how great JANET and Michael sang the song when you hear a cover of it. Besides the more rock style mix up of the song, it lacked the anger and frustration that Michael and JANET projected in Scream, it almost makes you want to just punch the air when listening to it. They were never going to compete with the original, and while we give Glee props for covering the King and the Queen, it wasn't the best of covers. 2012 album rumours begin!

As anticipation builds for the pop mega stars triumphant return to the studio, rumours have emurged that the ICON is in preparation for a summer release. When asked previously on the message behind her next album, JANET commented 'uplifting'.
JANET has always been an artist who says she writes from her life experiences, and hasn't she been through a lot since her last studio release, Discipline in 2008. From the loss of her brother, the King of Music Michael, to ending her relationship with long term partner Jermaine Dupri, and later finding new love with billionaire Qatar business man Wissam Al-Mana, and of course flying all around the world on her sold out world tour.
Yes JANET can't be short of things to write about, and we can't wait to hear what she's got in store for us. Can JANET break yet another record by being the first artist to have a number one album in the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's? Only time will tell, but the odds look to be in her favor!

Janet's first 2012 appearance

JANET continues to shock fans as she made an appearance on the Jay Leno show, looking stunning might I add. She was on the show with the help of her trainer Tony Martinez, who showed Leno how he might be able to be in the great physique JANET is currently in. She was dressed in her signature all black look, she gave off a very first lady vibe.


JANET discussed her NutriSystem endorsement, stating that she is also on the diet, and by the looks of it, its working! She expressed her views on Mikes daughter Paris going into the family business, and more

What can 2012 hold for JANET!

Well, it's been 4 years since the icon that is JANET JACKSON released her last number one album, 'Discipline'. 
But she hasn't had much time off that's for sure. In 2009, after the icon lost her brother the King  Of Pop, the one and only Michael Jackson, Jackson plunged straight into her work, already in the middle of the filming of Tyler Perry movie 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' Janet worked hard as ever, later releasing the lead song from the soundtrack 'Nothing', Nothing soared to the top of the iTunes chart following a surprise performance from Jackson on American Idol, which showed Janet's in one of her iconic cat suits and a new short-do haircut. She also released a double disk compilation album entitled 'Number Ones' and 'The Best' internationally.
2011 saw Janet kick off her Number One's Up Close and Personal World Tour, which saw Janet tour across the world for the first time since the ill-fated Rock Witchu Tour which saw a pre-mature due to Janet being diagnosed with vertigo. The tour has seen nothing but positive reviews, from London to Hong Kong, Sydney to Berlin, with sold out shows all over the world. Janet also signed her first production deal with Lionsgate. In December Janet surprised fans when she was announced as the new face of NutriSystem, and helping them form NutriBank, a charity to help fight against world hunger. Janet made headlines with her controversial move to not only be named as fur company Blackglama's legend for a second year running, but releasing the Janet Jackson fur line. Janet shows no sign of slowing down, and we wouldn't have it any other way. 


But what will 2012 hold for Janet? More movies? A new album? Will Janet produce her first movie? Will the tour continue? Only time will tell, but what we know for certain is that 2012 will be Janet's year!
